Update: On December 9, 2010, the Florida Board of Pardons unanimously granted Jim Morrison a pardon. This occurred one day after what would have been Morrison's 67th birthday.
Charlie Crist, the departing Governor of Florida has, during his term of office, occasionally shown an interest in issuing a pardon to his college alum, Jim Morrison, wrongly convicted by a Florida judge,(later found guilty of judicial malfeasance himself), of a 'wardrobe malfunction,' back in the bad old days of rock star witch-hunting/railroading.
Now, as Gov. Crist leaves office in December, speculation runs rampant once more that he will finally pardon Mr. Morrison - for something he didn't do in the first place, mind you. Two members of the Board of Pardons are also due to leave office in January, and Gov. Crist needs only two members of the Board to assent.
We await events.
