TWO NEW EAGLES SONGS AVAILABLE AT WALMART

The Eagles recently pacted with retail gargantua WalMart, for exclusive distribution of their future creative efforts, and just in time for the holidays/Christmas you can pick up their super-successful Farewell One DVD, plus a bonus CD containing three new songs, well, actually two, as No More Cloudy Days (vocal: Glenn Frey) was liberally sprinkled across the airwaves this last summer.  The other two - the country-tinged Do Something (vocal: Timothy Schmit and Don Henley, and my personal favorite of the two) and hard-rocker Fast Company (vocal: a falsetto Don Henley), reminiscent of King of Hollywood/Disco Strangler from The Long Run album - are a nice surprise from this seminal band who have been shy of late with new songs - can you say 30 years!?  Either way, this package is well worth the $9.72 you'll be forking over.  Apparently, you can find it somewhere behind the giant Garth Brooks displays!  Make the effort.  Go to WalMart - you know you have to anyway!

INXS ANNOUNCE SUMMER UK DATES

With new lead singer J.D. Fortune fronting the band, INXS’s "Switched On" world tour has already racked up a half-million ticket sales across Australasia, Canada, Asia and the USA. Next summer, they'll be bringing their live show straight to their UK fans on a tour that will play cities the length and breadth of Britain and will feature new songs from the Guy Chambers-produced "Switch" – the band’s long-awaited 11th studio album - as well as old favorites.  Tickets are on pre-sale right now.  A LOT more info, photos, dates and pre-sale info right here.

MCCARTNEY'S 'ECCE COR MEUM'

Paul's been taking quite a clobbering lately, what with the new missus turning out to be such a dud.  However, he's been working on another classical outing, "Ecce Cor Meum," (trans. "Behold My Heart") dedicated to Linda McCartney.  Heather was 'requested' not to attend the opening of the oratorio.  No surprise there.

The Who have been busy on the tour trail this season.  Salon.com recently interviewed Pete via email. He has now stopped live interviews as a result of Howard Stern trying to make a joke out of Pete's wrongful charges of child porn.
