Totals are starting to roll in from the first round of benefits for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The first benefit on September 2, featuring Harry Connick, Tim McGraw, and Wynton Marsalis [plus Kanye West's criticism of George Bush,] raised $40M for the Red Cross. Billboard article here.
