This Saturday, October 25, Don Henley will return to his hometown of Linden, Texas, for a special benefit concert to raise money to restore the Cass County Courthouse, one of the oldest antebellum courthouses in America, also located in Linden.
Don will be appearing at Linden's Music City Texas, run by Don's long-time friend and neighbor, musician/comedian and local politician Richard Bowden. The theater is celebrating five years or more in business, and the shows regularly feature luminaries such as Jackson Browne, Merle Haggard, George Jones and Rodney Crowell.
Tickets for Don Henley's concert, as might be expected, will run $1,000 each, but the price will include an after-show meet and greet with Don. The theater only holds 420, so there's not a bad seat in the house.
The Courthouse has already received a grant of $4.4 million from the Texas Historical Commission, and the concert will help raise matching funds.
